Supporting Communities in The Wake of Hurricane Helene

Delivering Comfort and Care

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, which devastated the Southeastern U.S., Levelwear stepped up to support communities facing unprecedented loss and destruction. With 227 lives lost—99 in North Carolina alone— and record-breaking rainfall of 24-31 inches over three days, entire neighborhoods, roads, and bridges in the region's steep canyon and low-lying areas were swept away.

5,000+ Units of Apparel

Recognizing the urgent need for reliable, weather-appropriate clothing, Levelwear donated 5,000+ brand-new, individually poly-bagged, fall/winter focused items to three key groups working on the frontlines of relief.

3 Key Partners To Maximize The Reach

Our contributions went to GR828, Mountain Alliance, and Mission Project— a dedicated group providing search and rescue, water, sanitation, and rebuilding efforts across the 828 area code. We also partnered with the Western North Carolina United Methodist Church, which established a network to distribute supplies throughout affected communities, and our own Sales Representative, Brooke Swaim, who facilitated donations to smaller groups of individuals who quickly mobilized critical resources directly to those in need.

Compassion in Action

True to our motto, "Who's with you?", and our Core Value to operate in a culture of care, Levelwear offered not only clothing but compassion, dignity, and respect to those whose lives changed in the blink of an eye. Our goal with these donations was simply to bring a small amount of comfort to those enduring hardship, helping these resilient communities take a small step towards their long recovery.
