A Community-Driven Fundraising Success

In response to the devastating 2024 wildfires in Alberta, Levelwear, alongside Golf Canada, CPKC, and Sleeman Breweries, are proud to announce that a total of $120,000 has been raised to support those affected by this tragedy.

With generous matching contributions from the provincial and federal governments, this brings the total to $360,000.

The funds raised stems from a collaborative effort that included net proceeds from weekend merchandise sales at the CPKC Women's Open and online sales at Levelwear.com as well as contributions from both Golf Canada and Sleeman Breweries. This initial sum of $60,000 was generously matched by CPKC and further amplified by the matching funds from the provincial and federal governments, transforming our collective efforts into a substantial and impactful donation.

Going Beyond Financial Aid: Exceeding Our Commitment

While the financial contribution is substantial, we also recognized the importance of providing direct relief to those affected. Initially committed to donating 2,000 units of apparel, we surpassed this goal by providing 4,650 units, thanks to the generosity of our partners, including Golf Canada. These essential items are already reaching those in need, offering comfort and support during this challenging time.

Swift Delivery and Distribution Thanks to Purolator and Fairmont Hotels

Ensuring that our donations reached those impacted by the wildfires required seamless logistics. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Purolator for covering all shipping costs and expediting delivery to three key distribution centers. This effort ensured that vital supplies were available quickly to those who needed them most.

We would also like to thank Fairmont Palliser Hotel (CAL), Fairmont MacDonald Hotel (EDM) and the Banff Springs Hotel as well as the entire Executive Team of Jasper Park Lodge Properties and Community for spearheading the distribution of Levewear apparel to those in need.

Impactful Support Through the Canadian Red Cross

frontline
The Canadian Red Cross has been instrumental in ensuring the funds are used effectively to support wildfire victims. Beginning July 31, 2024, the Red Cross started providing $750 in one-time financial assistance to households evacuated from their primary residences in Jasper. This financial aid is a crucial step in helping these families begin their recovery and rebuild their lives.

A Unified Effort to Make a Difference

This initiative is more than just a response to a crisis; it's a testament to the power of community and the importance of having the right people by your side. When faced with adversity, you have to ask yourself: Who's With You? At Levelwear, we know the answer. It's the best people in the business—our partners and friends like Golf Canada, CPKC, Sleeman, and Purolator—who give their all every day to make a difference.

So, as we continue to support Albert's wildfire victims and help them rebuild their lives, we stand proud of the people who are with us, making a real impact. To everyone who contributed—your support has made a profound and lasting difference.
